KinesteX Client

KinesteX v2.07.0: Bundle size optimizations and Assessments improvements

This update introduces optimizations to the size of our bundle, making it 30% lighter and resulting in faster initial loads. Additionally, we improved user experience in assessments.

Bundle size reductions and other optimizations:

  1. Changed our default app font format from ttf to woff2 (300+KB reduction)

  2. Optimized pages being bundled with suspense and smart preloading system to ensure all necessary pages are loaded straight away (800KB+ reduction)

  3. Changed dependency libraries to lighter versions (400+KB reduction)

  4. Chunked our bundle to keep react in its own bundle for improved caching

  5. Lazy loading secondary components (motion replay, settings component, etc.)

  6. Pre-connecting to our server and posthog for analytics

UI/UX Improvements:

  1. Improved the compactness of the warm up screen, making sure the text adapts to different screen sizes better

  2. Improved the placement of the phone orientation section for taller devices

  3. Added proper error handling for video removal in workout

Assessment improvements:

For all assessments we changed “Get Ready!” text during instruction to “Demonstration”.

  1. Gait speed test:

    • Removed a sitting requirement, now as soon as the person gets into the indicated silhouette at a proper distance, the assessment starts, prompting a person to go to the right.

    • Changed the instruction audio to:

Stand in the left green zone. After verification walk to the right green zone

  2. Single leg stance test:

    • We fixed an issue with attempt count getting stuck at ½ even though it is second attempt of the user on left side.

    • Additionally, when a person completes a test on one leg, we will play audio and display for 3 seconds “Right side completed, starting left side” transition

  3. Sit to stand assessment:

    • Made the standing requirement stricter by 5% to ensure a person has to be standing when incrementing a rep count

    • Added variance of repetition time in the statistics screen displaying max rep time and min rep time with the corresponding rep index

  4. Time up and go assessment:

    • Added a new state to track turning point and included measurements in the statistics

    • Changed the instruction audio to:

Stand in the left green zone. Remember where you positioned yourself and place the chair at that point and sit sideways. On GO, stand up, walk to the right green zone, turn around, walk back, and sit down
